When it comes to booking an airport hotel for the night before your holiday departure, many assume that it’ll cost a small fortune for the privilege and, with that thought in mind, they simply don’t bother looking any further at what their options are.

Whilst your travel agent will almost certainly be trying to get you to book through them and offering you what they like you to think of as deals, you’ll always get a far better rate booking online and booking otherwise shouldn’t even cross your mind! When you compare a travel agents price to the online prices, you’ll soon see why it’s the way to go to get the best prices!
- Be Flexible
Whilst you may, in your mind, want to stay in a 5* hotel right in the very heart of the airport, if you really want to get the best deals and discounts, you need to be flexible! Consider dropping to a 3* a further 10 minutes away from the airport and you’ll probably be pleasantly surprised at how much cheaper it is! You’re more than likely only staying in the hotel for one night and are probably going to be leaving early morning so, realistically, the star rating shouldn’t matter too much!
- Book Ahead
As soon as you know you’re flying…book your hotel! No one will offer you the best deals if you decide you want to book a week before (when they’ve filled far more rooms), unless you’re lucky and get a last-minute offer, so as soon as you know the date, get it booked! You’ll often find some great deals months in advance and, in addition, you’ll have the peace of mind that it’s all done and dusted!
At the end of the day, airport hotels don’t have to cost a small fortune and, so long as you’re prepared to be flexible and take your time looking for the best deals online, there’s absolutely no reason why you won’t be able to get a great deal each and every time!
